The Uzbek Customs Committee prepared a draft Presidential decree proposing to amend the earlier President’s Measures to Further Improve Foreign Economic Activity and Customs and Tariffs Regulation system of the Republic of Uzbekistan Decree.
The draft, which is aimed at further “stimulating domestic production, support a healthy competitive environment, and provide the domestic market with high-quality consumer goods”, proposes increase the customs duty for, natural or artificial mineral, sparkling waters, without added sugar or other sweetening or flavoring substances as well as ice and snow from 30% up to 50%, but not less than 0.25 USD per liter
