The Tashkent city mayor met with the President of Research at Steinbeis University Berlin, the mayor’s office said. The parties reportedly discussed the implementation progress of the presidential decree on the opening of the Uzbek-German Technical University in Tashkent.
The mayor stressed the importance of educating highly qualified specialists in technical sciences who would also be able to launch their own business.
The President of Research noted that he had similar work experience: perspective students must sign a contract with an organization on a similar project. Higher education institution, in turn, will be able to help implement and develop this project.
In addition, he said that the Steinbeis University Berlin collaborates with the University of Munich and Karlsruhe University of Technology and can use effective training programs and experience in joint projects.
