The chief of the State Security Service (SSS), Abdusalom Azizov at the extraordinary conference was elected as the president of the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) Monday, replacing the First Deputy PM Achilbay Ramatov, who occupied this post since January 25, 2018.
Conference participants unanimously voted for Abdusalom Azizov. He was nominated by the Tashkent Football Union.
The UFA president is a symbolic post and mainly serves as an overseer over the Uzbek football. The management will be carried out by Ravshan Ermatov, who was elected the first vice-president of UFA, the deputy interior minister Mukhiddin Juraev - the vice-president of the organization.
