The Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov, on the sidelines of the meeting in the C5+1 format in Nur-Sultan, met with his Kazakh counterpart Beibut Atamkulov, the Uzbek Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday.
The FM Kamilov congratulated his Kazakh counterpart on the productive outcomes of the meeting between the foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and the United States.
The ministers discussed the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level Uzbek-Kazakh meetings, exchanged views on priority areas for further advancing the multifaceted bilateral cooperation and reviewed the agenda and schedule for the upcoming meetings of bilateral institutions.
They emphasized that each event within the framework of the Year of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan are the clear evidence of the eternal friendship of the peoples of the two countries and confirmed their interest in successfully holding the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent.
