The Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov Monday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The counterparts reportedly exchanged views on the progress of preparations for the events within the CIS in October 2020 and the items on the agenda.
Uzbekistan has been chairing in the CIS since January 1, 2020. The meetings of CIS foreign ministers and heads of state in the format of videoconferencing are scheduled for October 15-16 this year.
