Deputy chief of the district Compulsory Enforcement Bureau (CEB) of Namangan province was caught taking a bribe from a businessman.
According to the State Security Service, the man was detained red-handedly while receiving 2 thousand US dollars.
Repportedly, the tax authorities in 2019 checked the activities of the enterprise, which found tax arrears, and the collected materials were sent to the CEB for collection.
However, the accused told the businessman that he could “pay off” the debt for 3 thousand dollars. Earlier, he had already received $ 1,000 and 2.2 million soums through an intermediary.
Criminal case was opened on the above fact under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
