The defense ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia held telephone conversation on the eve, the press service of the Russian defense ministry said in a statement.
“The Defense Minister of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, held telephone talks with his Uzbek counterpart, Major General Bakhodir Kurbanov. The parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral military and military-technical cooperation, ”the statement said.
An online meeting of the secretaries of security councils of the CIS member states was held the day. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Viktor Makhmudov.
