Trials of the Chinese vaccine against coronavirus have been launched in Uzbekistan. According to the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, the decision to conduct trials of the Chinese recombinant vaccine against coronavirus in Uzbekistan was taken at the talks between the Ministry of Innovation and officials of the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences as well as the Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
Reportedly, the Center of Excellence under the Ministry of Innovation handed over vaccines, placebo samples and reagents to the government center under the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency.
Currently, the documents on the first and second phases of clinical trials of the vaccine are being closely reviewed.
The Ministry of Health has been assigned to control the entire process. If the tests are positive, then the third phase of clinical trials will be carried out in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, Minister of Innovation Ibrohim Abdurahmonov said that not just one, but several vaccines would be tested in Uzbekistan.
