As part of the Class! humanitarian project, the Uzbek Public Education Ministry and the Russia Ministry of Enlightment have announced the recruitment of Russian language teachers to be deployed in Uzbekistan, Rossiyskaya Gazeta said.
Class! is reportedly the continuation of the Russian Teacher Abroad program, which sent several dozen Russian teachers to foreign countries, promoting their education.
In the phase I of the project, 30 teachers visited Uzbekistan to monitor the of Russian language proficiency level among teachers and pupils in local schools, as well as to develop teaching guidelines.
Memorandum on realization of the Class! humanitarian project was signed in October between the Uzbekistan Public Education Ministry, the Russia Ministry of Enlightment and Alisher Usmanov’s Art, Science and Sports charity fund.
