On Tuesday, 98 Uzbek nationals - 25 women and 73 children - were returned from Syria as part of the humanitarian operation Mehr-3 (Kindness) under the control of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, UzReport said.
They will be accommodated in health facilities, where they will be provided with food and clothing and with medical and psychological assistance. They will also reportedly be issued ID cards.
In May last year, as part of the humanitarian operation Kindness, 155 women and children were returned from Syria. Later in October, another action was held - Kindness -2, when 64 children were brought from Iraq to their homeland.
